On Saturday, January 30th we did an eight mile hike from Carranza Memorial to Apple Pie Hill (and back). Mr. Matheis went the wrong way to start, but a man walking his dog got us turned in the correct direction.
The hike was fun, especially when we ate lunch and drank hot chocolate at the fire tower. The fire tower was closed due to Covid-19 as we quickly and loudly found out.
It was a cold day, but we were all over-prepared for the weather, which was a good thing.
